Every Child, Every Day - improving student enrolment, attendance and participation is everybody’s responsibility and everyone’s business.

Hi there! Our names are Sue Paul and Selena Uibo and we are both teachers at Numbulwar School. Our school is located in Numbulwar community which is a remote Indigneous community in south-east Arnhem Land in the Gulf of Carpentaria in the Northern Territory of Australia. We are both very interested in organising a ski trip for 10-12 Numbulwar students. The group would be a selection of 5-6 students from across grades 4 - 6 in the Primary Years and 5-6 students from the senior class in grades 10 -12. The student selection would be based on great attendance and good behaviour.

ABOUT US

The rationale for organising a ski trip would be to give our students new opportunities for learning through a wide variety of activities and experiences including travel, organisation and meeting new people. We anticipate that an educational excursion which combines staying in Melbourne city, a school exchange in country Victoria and time spent at a ski mountain would encourage personal development for our students whilst learning through real life experiences. This opportunity would create a bond between the primary and senior students through mentorship and peer pastoral care which would contribute to our school student wellbeing strategy.
